ABOUT

SPACE.01 is a Black-owned, artist-run gallery in Logan Square, Chicago, dedicated to uplifting underrepresented artists and fostering a community-driven creative space. We prioritize the work of women, queer, trans, and BIPOC artists, offering a platform for radical storytelling, artistic experimentation, and cultural resistance.

MISSION:

More than just a gallery, SPACE.01 operates as a hub for collaboration, education, and advocacy. We host exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, workshops, and fundraising events that challenge systemic injustices while celebrating resilience and artistic expression. Our programming reflects the urgency of the moment—whether responding to censorship, colonial violence, or the erasure of marginalized voices, we create space for artists to be seen, heard, and supported.

Through partnerships with local artists, collectives, and grassroots organizations, SPACE.01 continues to push the boundaries of what an art space can be. Whether you're here to experience thought-provoking exhibitions, connect with a thriving creative community, or contribute to the movement, SPACE.01 is a home for those who believe in the power of art as a tool for change.
